Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

This page (and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the Terms and Conditions on which we supply products listed on dancesneakersaustralia.com.au ("our website") to you. Please read carefully — by ordering from our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If anything here is unclear, contact us at admin@dancesneakersaustralia.com.au.

Returns & Exchanges

Start your return or exchange in the Returns Portal

No need to email us to get started — our Returns Portal (linked in the main menu) handles the whole thing in a couple of minutes.

  1. Head to the Returns Portal, linked in our main menu
  2. Enter your order number and the email used at checkout
  3. Choose whether you'd like a return or an exchange, and follow the prompts (for exchanges, just select the size — and style, if you're switching things up)
Start My Return →
Heads up: items sent back without first requesting a return or exchange through the Returns Portal won't be accepted.

Timeframes

Refunds
Within 14 days of delivery
Exchanges
Within 30 days of delivery
14–30 days
Eligible for store credit instead of a refund

Condition of items

To be eligible, items must be in the same condition as received: unworn/unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging. You'll also need your order number handy — the Returns Portal will pull up your purchase details automatically.

Exchanges (Australia)

  • We cover shipping both ways for your first exchange on an order within Australia — the Portal sends your prepaid label automatically once approved.
  • Additional exchanges on the same order may attract postage charges (any cost will be confirmed before your replacement pair ships).

Returns for refund (Australia)

If you choose a refund rather than an exchange:

  • We'll organise the return postage for you and send a prepaid label through the Portal.
  • Once your return is approved, the cost of the return shipping label is deducted from your refund amount.
  • Returns arriving after 14 days but within 30 days will be issued as store credit (with the label cost deducted) instead of a refund.

Free gifts & promotional offers

If your order included a free gift as part of a promotion (for example, "free gift with orders over $150" or "buy 2, get 1 free"), the gift must also be returned if your return causes the order to fall below the qualifying threshold. If the free gift isn't returned, its retail value will be deducted from your refund. If only part of your order is returned and the rest still meets the promotional criteria, you're welcome to keep the gift.

International orders (including EU)

  • International customers can return or exchange items under the same 14-day refund / 30-day exchange windows (store credit if received after 14 days but within 30) — start the request through the Returns Portal like usual.
  • We're unable to organise or cover return shipping for international orders. You'll need to arrange and pay for your own return shipping to us — the Portal will provide the return address once your request is approved.
  • Once we receive your return, we'll process your refund or ship out your exchange.
  • For exchanges, we'll invoice you for the outbound shipping cost of the replacement pair before dispatch.
  • Duties and taxes paid to your local authority are non-refundable by us.
  • EU 14-day cooling-off period: if your order shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. Your item must still be in the same condition as received — unworn/unused, with tags, and in its original packaging — and you'll need your receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at admin@dancesneakersaustralia.com.au if the item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We'll notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund (or store credit) was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days — please remember it can take some additional time for your bank or card provider to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact us at admin@dancesneakersaustralia.com.au.

Products & Pricing

Our website displays the products we sell, their descriptions, and prices. We reserve the right to change the prices of our products without notice. We also reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

Order Processing & Payment

Once you have placed your order and completed the checkout process, we will send you an order confirmation via email. Payment must be made at the time of placing the order. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as shown on our website.

Shipping & Delivery

We will ship your order to the address you provide during checkout. We aim to deliver your order as quickly as possible, but delivery times may vary depending on your location and shipping carrier. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly so that we can make a claim against the carrier — we'll offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund. Once the products have been delivered to you, or to someone acting on your behalf, the risk for loss, theft, or damage passes to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

We make no warranties, either express or implied, about the products we sell or our website. We disclaim any and all warranties of any kind, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

If your rights under the Australian Consumer Law have been breached, you may be entitled to various remedies such as a full refund or replacement of a faulty product, as well as compensation for foreseeable losses due to the defect.

We exclude all warranties, representations, or guarantees (whether express, implied, or statutory) related to any products you purchase through this website, except for those that are contained or referred to in the Australian Consumer Law, or that cannot be legally excluded.

We will not be liable to you for any expenses, damages, or losses suffered or incurred by you, except if such losses arise from our breach of your consumer rights, negligence, wilful misconduct, or if we are unable to legally exclude our liability to you for such amounts.

If the product(s) are lost, destroyed, or damaged after delivery, or if you dispose of them, we will not be liable to you. Additionally, we may not be able to meet our obligations due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, such as industrial action or warehouse flooding, and we will not be held responsible for any costs or damages resulting from delays in processing or delivering your order or providing a remedy, replacement, or refund.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is our property or the property of our licensors. You may not use our content without our prior written consent.

Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our website or purchase of our products after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Lawful basis

Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), if you are a resident of the European Economic Area ("EEA"), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases:

  • Your consent;
  • The performance of the contract between you and the Site;

Automatic decision-making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you. Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.

Your rights

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us using the details above.

Your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States. The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they are downloaded to your device.

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser's "Tools" or "Preferences" menu. For more information, see allaboutcookies.org.

Blocking cookies may not completely prevent how we share information with third parties such as our advertising partners. To exercise your rights or opt out of certain uses of your information by these parties, follow the instructions in the "Behavioural Advertising" section above.

Do Not Track

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Complaints

As noted above, if you would like to make a complaint, please contact us by e-mail using the details provided under "Contact" above.

If you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, you have the right to lodge your complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
